Still Life Studies

Also known as "Nature Morte" in French, still life paintings often "take on" a life of their own.  What may seem like a mundane object at the beginning of a project, can quickly transform into a living, breathing masterpiece.  All it takes is a splash of color and imagination.  The Still Life genre proves that beauty can be found almost anywhere, if you're willing to look hard enough for it.
